Hi thr, Read your blog about bike trip to Ooty. Nice and informative blog. Me and my hubbie are also planning to hire a kinetic honda/activa when we visit ooty and conoor. It's something we would like to explore ourselves. I was wondering if the ride was safe along ghat roads as I would be riding in parts. Did you switch off the engine while going downhill? Just need some tips and wondering if there are many female riders on the there? Thanks, Kusum.
ReplyDeleteA kinetic honda might not be able to take you all the way up to Ooty. The hair pin turns are pretty steep, so it might be difficult but you can try your luck. If it is not raining ghats are just wonderful but if it is then there are chances of skidding in those small tires. While going downhill do not hold the clutch and do not switch off the engine. Sorry dint see any female riders en route, probably it was the weather and the day (or plain luck :P)
